Tara Tvedt is a certified Project Management Professional and has more than ten years experience in project management, human resources and psychology. Throughout her career Tara has demonstrated her proven expertise to plan, organize and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. She is also a crisis management expert, with extensive demonstrated experience ensuring plans for business continuity are met in the event of disaster.
Originally from Minnesota, Tara moved to the Cayman Islands in 2005 and currently heads up the project management section of BrightIdeas. Formerly, Tara was employed as the HR manager at Marriott’s OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC. In this role, she was instrumental in leading the bottom-up creation and development of the entire HR department to support the operational and sales components and staff of the resort.
Tara has a BA in psychology with a minor in Spanish from St. Mary’s University, Winona, MN. Tara boasts over 4,500 plus hours of project management experience and application. As well as being a member of the global Project Management Institute, Tara is also a founding member of the PMI Cayman Islands Chapter. She is fluent in Spanish and volunteers her free time at the Spanish Consulate in Grand Cayman.
